6th annual Fishing, Boating and Outdoor Expo

The
Pine Beach Hotel in Emu Park (located on the coast from Rockhampton)
is now finalising it’s 6th annual Fishing, Boating and Outdoor
Expo to be held on the 12th & 13th May 2007. The Expo is held
in the Hotels beer garden and park adjacent to the Hotel.
The Fishing, Boating and Outdoor Expo has been a great success,
being the largest of its kind throughout Central Queensland,
and last year attracted over 4000 people.
To date the intended participants include:
B & J Car Sales, Enduro Mat, Sea Breeze Marine, Battery World,
All Australian Boating Central Queensland, Secret Spot, Wurths
Motorcycles, Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, Jabu
Surfwear, Jeff Bianchi Marine Services, Yeppoon District Co-Op,
Rosslyn Bay Fishermans Markets, O’Maras Camper Trailers, Keppel
Bay Marine Sports, Terry’s Marine Centre, 3 C’s Camping Shed,
Robust Campers, Cooee Bay Marine, Alpha Rent & Buy, Active Gear
Rockhampton. (more sites to be confirmed)
During the weekend some activities included on the itinerary
are: fish filleting and seafood cooking demonstrations, prawn
peeling competitions, crab tying demonstration, lure casting
competition and the very popular “win your height in cartons
of beer” castnet throwing competition. The children don’t miss
out, they will be entertained all weekend by “Captain Castles”.
Gates open both days from 9.00am and entry is free. While you
are there enjoy their Bar, BBQ & Seafood. You may also be lucky
enough to go home with a tinny, trailer, motor and loads of
gear.”
